Manon Lescaut opens the Real after a century away

Puccini returns to the Teatro Real in a new Carlos Wagner staging, Luisotti in the pit and Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role — thirteen nights, seats from €19.

The house opens its 2026-27 season on 23 September with Manon Lescaut, back at the Real after 102 years, staged by Carlos Wagner and conducted by Nicola Luisotti. Thirteen performances run to 11 October, curtain at 19:30 and at 18:00 on the closing Sunday. Tickets start around €19.

Sondra Radvanovsky sings 23, 26 and 29 September and 2, 5, 8 and 11 October; Saioa Hernández takes 24, 27 and 30 September and 3, 6 and 9 October — the alternate-cast nights. A young preview on 20 September at 18:00 is free but limited to Amigos Jóvenes del Real, who download tickets through the young sales channel; Last Minute tickets are sold online from 14:00 on the day of the show to Amigos Jóvenes only and from 16:00 to everyone else under 35: €20 for under-26s, €35 for those aged 26 to 35. The production is among four titles relayed live to Yelmo cinemas.
