Paris · NightlifeBar des Clos: push the right door by the restrooms
Michel Puech's first cocktail room hides behind his new Faubourg Saint-Honoré bistro — 40 square metres of cherry red in an old antique dealer's premises.
The bar is hidden at the back of the restaurant, behind a discreet door. You book Clos, cross the dining room towards the restrooms and push one of the discreet doors. Behind it: forty square metres of cherry red in what used to be an antique dealer’s premises, fitted out as a bar rather than a second dining room.
The opening list is Benjamin Chiche’s, ten signatures and two without alcohol, run nightly by Vincent Berthe, 31, previously at Tiger in the 6th. The Dirty Negroni takes gin, Campari, red vermouth, olive oil and candied Saumur lemon zest. The odd one is Scandal Water: vodka, Menthe Pastille, honey-cider vinegar, watermelon, goat’s milk, pink pepper. Call 01 88 61 31 12 to check the week’s hours.
