Esotérica: say the password at the shop counter

A cocktail bar behind an occult-goods shop on calle del Pez, run by mentalist Pablo Raijenstein with Hugo Boscovich and Tomás García — the bar and Margaret Modlin's canvases upstairs, a cabinet of curiosities downstairs.

· Facts checked October 12, 2026

The front is an occult-goods shop. Behind the shelves there is a bar and a kitchen doing Mediterranean sharing plates after the elixirs. You get in by saying “escama de serpiente” at the shop counter; if the shop front is closed, ring the bell. It opened in September 2025 and is run by mentalist Pablo Raijenstein with Hugo Boscovich and Tomás García.

Take the upper floor, where the bar is. The room is a homage to the American painter Margaret Modlin (1927–1998), who lived in the neighbourhood and called herself the best painter of the Apocalypse; some of her originals hang there. There is also a format where you dine, drink and watch an act of tarot or mentalism — that is a different booking from a bar seat, so ask which one you are getting.
